Mariam Hamdy, MFA, is a trained artist who currently lives in Egypt. She’s an art correspondent & critic for local and international publications, as well as an adjunct faculty at both the American & German universities in Cairo. She currently teaches at SOMA Art School, and is an affiliate of the Zamalek Art Gallery, both in Zamalek, Cairo. She is also a commissioned artist who paints on anything from designer bags to furniture and walls. She particularly enjoys large designer bags herself, and has an unhealthy obsession with tattoos, vanilla ice cream and selfies.
